Kasargod : Pan masala products worth nearly Rs one crore which were being transported in a lorry from Haryana  to Kochi has been seized by checkpost officials  at Omanachur check-post on January 3, Thursday.

The lorry driver Harshad and cleaner Tahir from Haryana have been arrested. It may be mentioned here that pan masala products with tobacco have been banned in Kerala.

The pan masala were found in nearly 35 containers. The arrested driver and cleaner have been handed over to Manjeshwar police
