Mangalore : A 19 year old youth hailing from Hassan who slipped and fell into the sea while playing with his friends on the shore of the Panambur beach, was saved from drowning by the Life Guards at the beach. The Life Guards are operating in the beach under the aegis of the Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project.

The rescued youth has been identified as Satish from Arakalagudu in Hasan. Yatish Kumar Baikampady, CEO of Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project, has said that the Life Guards have so far saved 71 persons from drowning.

The lifeguards saved as many as 71 persons since 2008 in Panambur said Beach project CEO Yathish Baikampady.
