Police arrested two persons in connection with illegal diesel storage at Panambur

Mangalore : The Panambur DySP Girish along with his team has succeeded in arresting two persons in connection with illegal diesel storage at Panambur on June 21, Monday.

During the raid conducted in the house of Shodhan, one of the accused, police found about 300 liters of diesel stored in the bathroom.

The raided house is just a half a kilometer from the residence of Mayor Rajani Dugganna, which made a way for the TV channel to broadcast the false report of being raid conducted at Mayor’s house.

At the same time, TV news channel reporter Sukesh along with his cameraman were assaulted by the members of Bajrang Dal, during their visit to the police station.

According to DySP , the accused Shodhan (26) and Kishor (25) were carrying out illegal diesel from the tanker, while transporting the petroleum product to KSRTC Depot at Puttur from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). The accused used to extract diesel in containers and store from the tanker from Shodhan’s house at Munchur.
