Udupi : Pramod Madhwaraj, Minister of State for Fisheries, Youth Services and Sports, said that the Congress would have to introspect on the results of the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Assembly elections.
Speaking to presspersons here, Mr. Madhwaraj said that if the party did not do so, it would have to face tough times ahead. The Congress will have to devise ways and means of strengthening its organisational structure, he added. The results of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand were a setback to the Congress as the BJP had a good performance. But people had given a majority to the party in Punjab.
Mr. Madhwaraj said that the results of the party in Punjab would be reflected in Karnataka during the Assembly elections that would be held next year.
