Udupi : Sri Krishna Temple Udupi celebrated Deepavali in a traditional manner on the day of Naraka Chathurdashi day held on October 26, Wednesday.

Paryaya Shiroor Mutt pontiff Sri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji offered Tailabhisheka to the idol of lord Krishna after the Paschima Jaagara pooja in the early morning. The oil was also distributed among the devotees.

Shiroor Swamiji, Sode Mutt pontiff Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji and Kaniyoor Mutt pontiff Sri Vidyavallabha Theertha Swamiji had the sacred oil bath.

Shiroor Swamiji bursted crackers in the mutt premises along with devotees.
