Patna:  Mahar-e-Alam, one of the suspects arrested in connection with Patna serial blasts, escaped from the custody of National Investigation Agency today.

Mahar-e-Alam was arrested from Bihar’s Darbhanga on Wednesday.

He was being taken to Muzaffarpur in search of Indian Mujahideen mastermid Tehsin Akhtar, when he escaped from custody.

Meanwhile raids were conducted by NIA at the residence of Aftab, who was arrested after Patna serial blasts.
