Bengaluru : Pediatric hospitals will be set up in all the assembly segments, said Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka. Speaking to the media, he said the State Government will take preventive steps to curb the possible third wave. Under the Karnataka Disaster Management Act, the Revenue Department will be releasing funds for setting up paediatric hospitals at all the Assembly segments in Bengaluru. “I have also written to all the deputy commissioners to take all the possible steps to ramp up infrastructure and set up paediatric hospitals and train the doctors to treat the children”, he said adding, “All possible steps to prevent the possible third wave. In case if there is a rise in Covid cases, then we can take back the beds in private hospitals for treating Covid patients.”
Mr Ashoka also said that he will soon visit flood affected areas of Karnataka. The Revenue Department will release money under disaster management funds for flood relief works.
