Udupi: Various vedic rituals are being held at Rajangana of Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt from Wednesday to mark the occasion of the 79th year of sainthood of Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Sri Pejavar Mutt.
It is a practice followed by 85 year old Pejavar seer to meet his disciples from various parts of the country every year on this occasion. This year, vedic rituals being held for three days starting from Wednesday.
The rituals are scheduled to begin at 7 am and end at 10.30 am on all three days. Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji himself will be present during the ‘Poornahuthi’ (oblation at the end of a ritual).Scholars Nandalike Vittalacharya and Chitrapura Gopalakrishnacharya are leading the rituals.
