Mysore: Sri Vishweshwara Tirtha Swamiji of Udupi Pejawar Mutt, now observing Chaturmas vows in Mysore, visited the Arsu Colony of Dalits to maintain Hindu unity, on Thursday, and was happily received by local Dalit leaders who decorated their lanes with flower buntings, before welcoming the frail and small – looking seer with a great reputation. The seer distributed fruits among these devotees, after giving his benedictions to them.
The Swamiji had gone to the Colony on foot to establish communal harmony, and Dalit leader Palani was happy about this yatra. The seer blessed all Dalits and told them that they were entitled to a priority in Hindu society, and asked them to strive for the “Hindutva” survival.
