Belthangady: “After amending ‘Panchayat Raj’ system, development works in rural areas are gaining speed and the people who live in rural area are confident to live a sound life,” said Minister for forest and ecology Ramanat Rai.
He was speaking after inaugurating Naravi GP and other developmental programs organised by ZP, TP Belthangady, Panchayat Raj engineer Belthangady sub-division and Naravi GP, on Monday.
“Willingness is important for any developmental work. Once upon a time handful of people was ruling an area, but now public are also ruling the area. People should get more help from panchayat’s. Panchayat Raj system should strengthened more,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that funds are flowing from the central and state government to GP’s. GP Presidents are the CM of that GP. People are struggling to get their land records, revenue department officials should look into this matter.
On the occasion Nalin assured to provide a sum of Rs 3 lakh for the developmental works in Naravi GP.
MLA Vasanth Bangera, MLC Kota Shrinivas Poojary, MLC Pratapchandra Shetty, ZP President Meenakshi Shantigodu, ZP standing committee President Shahul Hameed and others were present.
