Mangaluru : The Sri Rama Sene members staged a protest against illegal cattle trade and cow slaughtering and organised a rally from Jyoti Circle to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here on Monday, December 15.
Addressing to the protestors at DC office gates, South Province President, Sri Rama Sene Mahesh Koppa said that the Sene already stressed with issues such as Love Jihad, Land Jihad and terrorism among others, religious sentiments of the Hindus was now being deeply hurt with issues such as cattle trafficking and cattle theft among others.
Dr Krishnaraja said that there was no point in nabbing traffickers and punishing them. The people must know the real worth of a cow. The importance of cattle should be created among the slaughterers and the public in general.

Sri Ram Sene leaders Anand Shetty Adyar, Sudatta Jain, Jeevan Kumar Neermarga, Pradeep Moodshedde and Venkatesh Padiyar among others were present.
A memorandum was submitted to the DC seeking ban on cow slaughtering, to declare cow as the national animal, to book traffickers under Goonda Act.
