Mangaluru: “People should not support those who are busy in criticising the developed persons. Instead of that people should get engaged in matured thinking to know what is wrong and what is right,” said district in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai.
He was addressing the gathering in an interaction programme with the MLA’s organied by Janashikshana Trust, the Hunger Project, Sugrama Grama Panchayat at Mangaluru Taluk Panchayath hall on Monday.
“Women should study the history. They should know the facts about what happened 100 years before. They should speak fearlessly and then only we can plan for a brighter future. Elected panchayat members should try to implement the grama swaraj panchayat ray amendment effectively,” he said.
MLC Kota Shrinivas Poojary said that the government will discuss about the increase in stipend of the GP members in upcoming assembly session.
Talapadi GP member Bhagyalakshmi urged to shut down the illegal gambling centres which are functioning in Mangaluru and nearby areas.
Responding to this Rai said that gambling a anti social element and women should fight against it to get the better result.
