Udupi: “Providing permanent shelter to the homeless people is the duty of the government. A good and systematic building will be constructed for such people,” said district in-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj.

He was addressing the gathering after laying foundation stone for the building which is being built for the homeless people at the cost of Rs 40 lakh.

“The homes will have all the basic facilities. Economically poor, single woman’s, mentally retarded and aged people will get the benefit of this project,” he said.

CMC President Meenakshi Bannanje, Vice-President Sandhya Tilak, Vijay Manchi, Prashanth Bhat and others were present.
