Mangaluru : A person who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital for critical burn injuries has succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on July 1.

The victim Shamith Shetty (25) being allegedly set on fire by dousing petrol by his very own father on June 21,

The accused Vishwanath Shetty (52) has already been arrested by the police.

It is learnt, a quarrel between the father and the son over the issue of managing the cattle at their home, resulted in this incident at their home at Tarduliya in Jeppu. Vishwanath had reportedly set his son on fire while he was sleeping.
