New Delhi : Due to the continuous devaluation of rupee against dollar, the petroleum ministry is thinking of hiking the price of petrol by 1 rupee per liter. Even though the price of petroleum product has decreased in the International market since last week, due to weak rupee India has to pay higher amount for the import of oil.
Government promised revision of petroleum prices once in every 15 days so that fluctuation in oil prices can be monitored precisely. It is the first time the petrol price is going up since March 1st and in between, the price has been reduced 4 times.
