Udupi : A two day photo exhibition- Vidhana Sabha 60, in commemoration of 60 years of the State Legislature was inaugurated at Udupi Utsav Grounds on December 13, Thursday.The exhibition was organized by the Information Department was inaugurated by Kiran Kumar, President of Udupi CMC

Over 250 photographs depicting landmark and milestone events of the state legislature are on display at the exhibition. There are photographs of the laying of the foundation for the Vidhana Saudha by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister and the photographs of the swearing in of all chief ministers the state has seen, right from the first Chief Minister to the present Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar. There are also photographs of the historic SAARC convention held in Bangalore as well as the visit of Indian Constitution architect Dr BR Ambedkar.

Udupi ZP Chief Executive Officer Prabhaker Sharma, Bharathi Chandrashekhar, CMC Vice President, Kiran Manjanbail, President of Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association, Junjanna, District Information Officer and others were present.
