Mangalore : Dr Devraj K, Director of the SDM College Inaugurated the Pili Nalike-2014, traditional tiger dance competition at Sri Dharamasthala Manjunateshwara Law College, Mangalore on Friday, October 3.
The competition was held among a total of 11 Tiger dance troupe who registered their names.
The first prize comprises of Rs 2 lakhs. The cash prize of Rs 30,000 will be awarded to Best Tase Player, Rs 30,000 to Best Tiger color(paint) and Rs 30,000 to Best Mari Pili ( Tiger Kid). The organisors will also give the amount of Rs 10,000 for each participating team as royalties.
Organizer Mithun Rai, Namma TV Director Shivasharan Shetty others were present on dais.
The “Pili Nalike” championship prize of Rs 2 lakhs was shared by Mulihithlu Games Team and Tiger Camp Bolar. Akshath Bagged “The Best Mari Pili” winning Rs 30,000 cash prize; “Best Tase” bagged by Pural Appena Jokulu Polali with Rs 30,000 cash prize; “Best Painting” -Tiger Camp Bolar (Rs 30,000); “Best Rice Mooda lift” – Mulihithlu Games Team (Rs 30,000).
