Mangaluru : Ostriches are an added attraction at Pilikula Biological Park at Dr. Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama this week.
Two ostriches brought from Vandalur Zoo, Chennai, have been put in a separate exhibit enclosure at the park since Thursday.
According to H. Jayaprakash Bhandary, director of the park, the birds are two-years-old.
The park would send two King Cobras to the zoo in exchange for the birds under animal exchange programme.
He said that the park would get four white peacocks (two pairs) and an Asiatic Lion from Junagarh zoo shortly. In addition, the park would get some more exotic birds.
