Mangaluru: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan arrived in Mangaluru by Malabar express at 10-30 AM on Saturday to participate in communal harmony rally organized by CPI (M).
He was attended a programme in IMA auditorium Attavara in the Morning. Kasagod MP, Karunakaran and CPI(M) Karnataka State Secretory, G V Srirama Reddy accompanied him.
Pinarai Vijayan arrived Mangaluru in the backdrop of Sangh Parivar’s threat of preventing him enter Karnataka.
Mangaluru city amid a bandh called by Hindu organizations forcing him not to participate in the rally in the wake of role of his party CPI (M) in murder of Hindu activists in Kerala for the last two three decades. Kerala chief minister received a cheerful welcome by Karnataka state CPI (M) activists at Mangaluru Railway station. Thousands of Kerala police have arrived with chief minister to keep a vigil on Vijayan.
