Mangalore : CPI(M) Polit Bureau Member Brinda Karat who was in the city on May 1, Wednesday, said the BJP and the Congress have let into the wind the issues of ordinary workers
Addressing press persons, she said politics was communalized just with an eye on the vote bank. Stating that the communal parties have endangered the nation, she also launched an attack on the UPA government at the Centre for failing to give good administration. She said the BJP too had failed to expose the scams in which the Centre was involved
She said the unorganized sector workforce suffered due to lack of social security as well as various amenities. She said for the very first time, her party was contesting 16 seats in the state. Commenting on the rape and murder of Sowjanya, Karat blamed the government as well as the police department of shielding the culprits by arresting a so called mentally deranged person in the case.
Party leaders including KR Sriyan, Madhava, Vasanth Achari and others were present.
