New Delhi: The Prime Minister and wicket-keeper of UPA-z team in Delhi on Saturday stated that his UPA (Congress) government was committed to bring a strong and effective Lokpal Bill in Parliament soon, and there was enough scope for suitable instructions and pointers from all citizens. He was reacting to what Hazare insisted upon at Ramlila grounds today (Aug.20) on the eve of Lord Krishna birthday. The political parties should ascertain that a Lokpal Bill is tabled in Parliament, but the legal reactions on that bill need time, he added.
The prime Minister sought concensus on the Lokpal bill to be implemented by the Government. Singh is ready to listen to civil society suggestions, said Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi in a statement meanwhile.
