Mangalore: The city police have dragged on, and failed to hunt the killer in the Panjimogaru double murder case, in which a Muslim wife(35) and her young daughter(8) were done to death on June 28, over 5 weeks ago; so, the DYFI took out a fresh rally from the spot of death to kavoor police station on Sunday. Razia(35) and Zuva(s) were stabled to death while Zaheed(1) was not attacked in the case.
Addressing those concerned about the case, DK. Chief of DYFI, Muneer Katipalla asked for CBI enquiry into this hard-boiled case, as the bereaved family of victims is denied legal justice.
Muneer flayed the DK incharge minister K.Palemar (new in the pit, due to cm’s resignation on Sunday afternoon) for not taking any interest in the case and keeping out disinterestedly.
DYFI secretary Dayananda Shetty who also spoke, stated that DYFI would present a memorandum on Monday to the Mangalore city corporation Commissioner (no one is in charge, as Dr.Prakash is transferred to ZP as CEO on Saturday.)
Several DYFI leaders participated in the protest rally. The police (in spite of 4 teams formed) had no clue on the murderer.60 persons were questioned ,however.
