Kasargod: Manjeshwara police have arrested three people for submitting fake certificate for passport, on Tuesday.

Safwan of Mangalpadi, Mufeek of Thoudugoli, Rauf of Bengre Manjeshwara are the arrested persons.

Mufeek and Safwan had submitted fake birth certificate while applying for the passport. Rauf had helped both to get the fake certificate.

Mufeek had paid Rs 8000 for the certificate and Safwan had got the fake certificate through an agency at Mangalpadi.

Agency owner and former GP member Iqbal has been absconded since the arrest of these trio.
