Mangalore : The Mangalore police team arrested a gang of motorbike thieves on Saturday.
The arrested are Mohammed (41) of Kallapu, Abdul Rahman alias Mustafa (31) of Jalligudde, and Ashfaq (22) of Adyar are currently in custody of the Bunder police.
The police have also seized four motorbikes from the gang. Mohammed Kallapu is a scrap merchant in Bunder and used to help Ashfaq and Mustafa sell spare parts of stolen motorbikes. They were arrested by the police while investigating a motorbike theft case which took place on June 29 in Bunts Hostel.
