Mangaluru: Urwa police busted a cricket betting racket at a lodge in Bejai on Friday.

The police arrested 3 persons for allegedly placing bets on an IPL 2019 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

The accused persons – B Ismail, Ismail and Joseph, were using Cricket Live Buzz app for betting when the police raided the lodge following a tip off. The police seized three mobile phones and some cash from the spot.

While B Ismail (26), is from Mudebihal taluk of Vijayapura district, Ismail (65), is from Adyar-Valachil, Mangaluru and Joseph (27), is from Kayartadka, Belthangady.
