Kasargod: The Kasargod police are on their way to Mangalore for the investigation on account of a bomb threat that turned out to be a hoax.
It is learnt that, police control room had received three phone calls alerting them on a bomb that was planted at the Kasargod railway station on Sunday at around 7 pm.
After receiving the call, the bomb squad arrived at the spot and searched for the bomb for half an hour. The Malabar express and Parashurama express trains were stopped at Kumble and Kotikulam respectively while searching. The passengers looked tensed and inconvenienced without any information.
Later the police realized that the call was a hoax and were made from Mangalore. The police with the help of cyber cell have already identified the caller and are on their way to arrest him after making further investigations.
