Bantwal: Following the orders of Superintendant of Police Bhushan G Borase, police vacated the road side petty shops and pushcarts at Farangipete on Wednesday.
Thought some local people created confusion by raising objection for polices’ deed, police personnel cleared the area.
On October 16, in a public meeting many people from Farangipete area had said that due to the lack of parking space buses are picking the passengers from middle of the high way, thereby causing serious traffic jam.
After receiving orders from SP Borase, Bantwal traffic police started to fine the vehicles which were parked at both the road sides.
Local people tried to call the Pudu gram Panchayat PDO to visit the spot, who didn’t responded to the calls.
“Many people are earning daily food through petty shops and pushcarts. If police vacated them all of a sudden then how can they earn their food?” questioned local people.
