Mangalore, Mar 3: Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh inaugurated the newly built Police Control Room Office located at Police Commissioners premises on March 3, Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that earlier there was no fixed control room office but now it has got its own office to communicate with the officials and general public and take the complaints and reports. This idea of having the control room office was stricken during the days, when he was working as the DCP in Bangalore, he added.
He also said that the control room will further have the CCTV large screens and the control room official staffs can see the whole Mangalore City when they are communicating with other officer on the other side for 24 hours a day.
Mangalore City is famous in every possible way and the staffs in the control rooms are given good facilities to work to maintain peace and order in the city.
He also urged the staffs to respond to the general publics call and receive the complaints. Further GPS system will also be installed in the PCR vehicles, he added.
DCP R Ramesh, said that the police department has been given hi-tech facilities and the staffs must not misuse the facility and make use of all the modern equipment implemented in the office
After the commissionarate has formed the city limits have decreased but the responsibilities have increased. The staffs must help the public and maintain peace and order in the city.
He also said that, the public has more expectation on commissionarate and the officials must meet their expectation and staffs will be given a weeks training for control rooms in Bangalore he said.
DCP Rajshekar, Inspector of Mangalore North Police Station Vinay P Gaonkar and other police officials and staffs were present on the occasion.
