Mangalore: Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh inaugurated Police Out post located in Nantoor on September 14, Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the police out post is installed to give protection for the police officials from rain and sun during their duty hours as a shelter. He also said that they cannot afford to appoint new staffs; instead police officials from police station will be deployed all the time, he said.
He also said that most of the people do not know where they can meet the police to give complaints an ask information. Hence they can file complaint and ask information in the outpost.
There are 15 outpost established till now. It is established at the cost of Rs one lakh. This has been done with the purpose to help people, he said.
ACP Ravindra Gadadi, GV Subramaniam and T R Jagannath, DCP M MUthuraya and DCP (Crime) Dharmaiah and others were present.
