Beltangady : The police conducted a raid at an illegal slaughter house functioning at Kutteti in Tannirpantha village of Belthangady and seized 300 kgs of beef on October 29, Wednesday.

The raid was conducted at a slaughter house belonging to Abbas and Sharief and was functioning unabated although it was located only about 20 mts away from the Highway.

During the raid both Abbas and Sharief managed to escape from the police.

The raid was conducted by team led by Uppinangady SI Jagadish Reddy on receiving information from reliable sources and later the case was handed over to Punjalakatte police station since the area comes under its limit.
