Udupi: The prime accused of business man Bhaskar Hegde murder Rajeshwari and Navneet Shetty wife and son of Bhaskar Shetty were produced in front of court, on Friday and the court has extended their police custody till August 16.

The police custody of Navneet and Rajeshwari ended today and ASP Suman and DySP Kumaraswamy led them to the court with high security.

Slogans were shouted against Rajeshwari and Navneet by the gathered people. A huge crowd was waiting for their arrival since morning. Police had asked for seven days of police custody of the accused, but the court granted it for only five days.

The new SP of Udupi K T Balakrishna had visited the Manipal police station and gathered information regarding the case.

Meanwhile, Niranjan Bhat who was admitted in hospital to undergo surgery has been discharged from the hospital on Friday.
