Mangaluru: An awareness programme for school children on the provisions of POCSO Act has been planned by the Police Department in Udupi.

Laxman-Nimbarg…This was informed by Udupi District Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi during his phone-in programme on Friday in response to a caller who cited several incidents of sexual abuse of children in the recent past.

When a caller complained regarding over speeding of two wheelers, the SP assured to have a drive against over speeding twice or thrice during the week.

To a caller who pointed out at the inconveniences due to parking of buses alongside National Highways, the SP assured to look into the matter.
