Mangaluru : The month long training programme for aspirants for the posts of sub-inspectors and constables in the Police Department, organised by the Mangaluru Police Commissionerate and Dakshina Kannada District Police , concluded at a function held at St Aloysius Gozaga Hall on September 17, Friday.
Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala who was the chief guest of the occasion, greatly appreciated the initiative of City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar.
Commissioner Shashi Kumar, DCP Law and Order Hariram Shanker, SP Rishikesh Bhagawan, ANF SP Nikhil, Fr Melwyn Joseph Pinto, Rector of St Aloysius College and others were present.
As many as 206 aspirants including 91 women and 115 men took part in the training, They were selected from among 734 aspirants who had registered for the programme. Among those who underwent training, 162 are from Dakshina Kannada district while others are from Udupi, Shivamogga, Hassan and Chikkamagaluru.
