Mangaluru: Police charged lathi on Popular Front of India (PFI) activists while protesting on front of police commissioner’s office on Monday afternoon.

As the protestors didn’t take any prior permission from the police to hold the protest, heated arguments were happened between police and the protestors. But the protestors didn’t listen to the police and police observed that the situation was running out of hand.

To control the situation police resort a mild lathi charge on the protestors and held some. The plan of protest was disrupted by the police lathi charge.

The protest was staged against the arrest of Saifulla who was arrested in connection with rowdy-sheeter Charan murder case.
