Mangaluru: “Because of police personnel we are living peacefully in the society. The healthy socirty was created by police department,” said district magistrate court Judge K S Belagi.

He was addressing the gathering at city’s DAR ground after inaugurating the police martyrs commemoration day organised by DK police and City Commissionerate, on Friday.

“Everyone should die after living a life here in the society, but dying as a martyr is a matter of pride. We should console the families of the deceased police personnel,” he said.

Deputy Commissioner Dr K G Jagadeesh said that soldiers are safeguarding the people in the boarders and police are safeguarding us by living with us.

Commissioner Chandra Sekhar, SP Bhushan Gulab Rao Borase and others were present.
