Mangalore: The Pandeshwar police arrested four persons in connection with the murder of Durgaprasad Shetty on Friday September 26. Durgaprasad Shetty was murdered at Gorigudde on September 22.

The arrested are identified as Jeppinamogaru resident Santosh Karkala alias Santosh Shettigar (38), Sandesh Kotian (21) of Yekkur, Pavan Shetty (20) of Shaktinagar, and Harshith Shetty (21) of Maroli.

Reportedly police arrested prime accused Santosh near Navabharat circle in city and others from Udupi.

During the police interrogation, the arrested confessed to have murdered Durgraprasad Shetty. The arrested are also involved in several other cases and are charge in various police stations.

The arrests were made by DCP Dr K V Jagadish, DCP Vishnuvardhan, Mangalore South sub-divisional ACP Pawan Nejjoor, led by CCB inspector Valentine D’Souza, Pandeshwar police inspector Dinakar Shetty, along with other police staffs under the guidance of police commissioner R Hitendra .
