Kasargod: Police have nabbed a person in connection with a theft case in Badiyadka Peradala Udaneshwara Temple and have seized Rs 38000 from him, on Thursday.
Venkappa Naik (27) of Peradala, Sahntipalla is the arrested person. He was also convicted in a murder case, where he had stabbed him mother in 2011. Four months before he had released from the jail.
He had stolen Rs 60000 from the temple on August 28, night. Police found him near Bekal fort.
Due to lack of evidence the court had released him from the jail in murder case. Then he was living in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruchirapalli. He had come to Peradala on August 26 and some locals have seen him in the bus stand. He had long hairs before stealing cash from temple after that he had shaved his head.
