Mangaluru: A Nigerian has been held by the south police for selling cocaine at Noel Mathias Park Caprigudda, on Thursday.
Emeka Clinton Obinna (36) of Nigeria is a arrested person. He had come to India on business visa. He is involved in illegal drug dealings even after expiry of his visa.
He used to sell cocaine in Mangaluru, which was brought from Goa. As the cocaine is very much expensive, he used to target the rich youth and student.
On Thursday day morning, acting upon credible information, Emeka was caught by the police while he was waiting for the customers. Pollice have seized 4.5 kgs of Cocaine worth Rs 2 lakh, Rs 39000 cash and a Nokia mobile phone.
The police team was led by Circle Inspector Belliappa, under the guidance of Commissioner Chandra Sekhar, DCP L&O Shantharaju, DCP Crime & Traffic Dr Sanjeev Patil and ACP Shruti.
Sub-inspector Mohammed Sheriff, ASI Krishna, Narayan Naik, Police constables Gangadhar, Dhananjay, Satyanarayan, Mohan, Purushotham and others took part in the possession.
