Mangaluru : Police raided a ladies’ bar in Saibeen Complex and rescued over eight women being forced into performing obscene dances on Monday evening.

Sandeep Patil, City Commissioner of Police, told that the police, acting on a specific complaint, raided the Golden Gate Bar in Saibeen Complex.

Eight women, who had been forced into obscene dancing, too, were rescued.

“Five men have been detained for questioning. A case will be registered against the owner of the Golden Gate Bar. He was not present at the time of the raid,” said Patil.

A case was registered at Barke Police Station and investigations are on.
