Mangalore : Neermarga which was tense following clash between people belonging to two different communities on October 21, Monday night over a silly reason, is presently peaceful.

Meanwhile, on October 22, Tuesday police registered cases against 25 persons in connection with the incident. Those who are booked are Kamal, Safan, Rizwan, Ibba, Kalandar, Farooq, Prasad, Nasir, Mustafa, Rafique, Asif, Irshad, Thousif and Sadiq.

It all began when twoyouth namely Shaukat and Nizam tried to either damage or steal a bike belonging to  one Praveen which was parked in front of the house of Kunjanna where a funeral ceremony was underway.  The locals had picked up a quarrel with the youth over the issue.

The same night several people had entered Kunjanna’s house and attacked as many as nine persons.
