Mangaluru: A woman was rescued from a sex racket and a man was arrested by the city police from a hotel situated at Balmatta Road, on Saturday.

Mohammad Arafat (36) is the arrested person. Upon acting on credible information, Bunder police raided the hotel and arrested the accused who was involved in illegal activities.

Police also rescued a woman from the hotel, who was the victim of illegal activities.

A hotel staff named Satish K (40) is absconding after the raid and police have registered a case against him also.
