Vittal: Vittal police seized a car for possessing lethal weapon in it, on Tuesday. Interestingly a Zilla Panchayat member suddenly came to the police station and after having some heated argument with the SI, he took the car driver with him.

On Tuesday night a car was parked at the Vittal junction and it was a no parking area. Huge traffic jam was caused due to the parking of car. When the deputed Home Guard checked the car, he found a lethal weapon in it.

Car owner Siddiq from Salethur was taken to the station and questioned by the SI. Bantwal sub division DySP was also present at the station. All of a sudden ZP member M S Mohammad arrived to the station and argued with SI for taking Siddiq to the custody.

Police sources have said that MS Mohammad was likely to be threatening the SI. He said that none of the people in my constituency are involved in crime, and left the station along with Siddiq. Even the DySP was present at the spot, he also couldn’t do anything and everyone was shocked by the incident.

Locals are alleging that there are hundreds of rowdy-sheeters here in Vittal and most of them exist due to MS Mohammad. Many times he has taken side of accused even though they are the culprits.
