Udupi  : The polling is going on in slow pace through out the district and since it is Sunday, people are taking their own time for casting their vote and avoid standing in the que.

The election commission has extended polling time from 7am to 6pm. 8.5 Lakh voters will cast their votes in around thousand polling booths in Udupi ditrict.

For the first time camaras were introduce in 110 polling stations and  additional observers were stationed in sensitive booths. The counting will be held at T.A .Pai English medium school at Kunjibettu. (Udupi )

Security has been beefed up in all constituencies to prevent any disturbances.
