Mangalore : Several students belonging to the Karnataka Polytechnic formed a human chain at KPT circle to protest against the rising atrocities on women and also to demand thorough probe into Sowjanya rape and murder case and Akshatha murder case. The protest was organised by the ABVP.
The protest was held as part of the awareness movement on safety of women planned by ABVP across the nation. ABVP State Secretary Ramesh who spoke, expressed his concerned over the rising cases of crime against women and demanded setting up of more fast track court to try such cases and ensure early justice.
As part of the protest rallies were organised even in Vittal, Puttur, Subrahmanya, Belthangady and other places.
