Mangalore: Polytechnic students in Mangalore under the leadership of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat staged a protest near the Jyothi Circle in Mangalore on July 20, Friday, urging the government to reintroduce the carry over system for diploma courses.

The students formed a human chain near the Jyothi Circle and were seen shouting slogans against the government for abolishing the carry over system, which they said was detrimental to the interests of the students.

The agitators also urged the government to provide good facilities to polytechnics.
