Sullia : Senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojari has urged the people to elect those who understand their plights and troubles.
He was participating in a protest organised by Tamil workers of KFDC who are agitating here in support of several of their demands on March 19, Tuesday.
Poojari said it is no use if the workers stage protest in the scorching sun. No one will hear your pleas now. Instead make a door to door visit and explain your woes, this will make the authorities alert, Poojari told them.
On this occasion, Poojari told the agitating workers that the Congress government, if voted to power would fulfill their demands.
Sullia Block Congress President M Venkappa Gowda, Harikrishna Bantwal, Bharath Mundodi, Dhananjaya Adpangaya and other leaders were present. Even Vinaykumar Sorake, former Udupi MP had earlier visited the protest venue and had pledged his support for the stir.
