Mangalore : B. Janardhan Poojary, former union minister and senior Congress leader celebrated Sonia Gandhi’s birthday with the orphans of St. Joseph Prashanth Nivas Ashram, Jeppu on December 9, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that BJP leaders are involved in corrupt activities in the state hence they are very quiet on the issue.
He said that CM D. V. Sadananda Gowda has violated the BDA guidelines. Although the BJP keeps quiet about the corrupt members, but does not hesitate to criticize congress leaders S. M. Krishna and Chidambaram, he added.
Later, Poojary distributed fruits among the inmates of the orphanage and remarked that he has been visiting the ashram for the past 13 years.
