Mangalore : BJP state Mahila Morcha vice-president Sulochana G K Bhat said that Congress candidate B Janardhan Poojary, who has blamed BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for not mentioning his wife’s name in affidavit has also failed to mention his own wife’s name.
Speaking at a press meet at the BJP election office on April 12, Saturday, she said that Congress candidate Janardhan Poojary has also not mentioned his wife’s name in the affidavit filed and submitted the returning officer of the Election Commission. Apart from it, Poojary also left blank the column of dependents. In such situation he has no moral right to question Modi’s marital status.
She said that Poojary’s affidavit copy posted on Karnataka Election Commission’s website, shows that he has left the Part-A column on income of his wife and that of dependents blank, but in next columns on assets and liabilities, Poojary has mentioned that his wife owns movable assets worth Rs 16,53,200 and immovable assets worth Rs 25,00,000.
Sulochana Bhat further said that Poojary is talking about reservations for Brahmins, which is nothing but vote bank politics. If he really wished to do so, he would have fought for their reservation when he was the union minister and MP.
It is known that Modi left his wife to serve the society as RSS pracharak, but why are the congress leaders not replying about who killed Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor.
She also criticized that UPA-led government had reserved Rs 1000 crore in the name of Nirbhaya helpline, but so far it has not been implemented.
