Mangalore :  The Popular Front of India has urged the administration to initiate stern action against members of saffron organizations who were unnecessarily targeting legitimate cattle traders.

PFI office bearers who convened a press meet here said  the people who take law into their hands should face action. Even the police are not taking action even when such attacks take place right in front of them, they said.

They also alleged that those involved in cattle thefts were passing the blame on others and said police were inactive in most cases. They also said the elected representatives who had earlier said the police and district administration will be held responsible for such incidents,  are now silent.
