Mangalore : Former MLA Vijayakumar Shetty said that the obscene materials viewed in the form of electronic inside the assembly is an offence and they must not be left free without punishment.
He was speaking at the press meet held at District Congress Office on Feb 24, Friday. He also said that the obscene clips viewed for first time in assembly have the jailed for 3 years and pay the fine of Rs 5 lakhs and for the second time the person must be imprisoned for 7 years and pay the fine of Rs 10 lakhs and it is the basic legal punishment.
He said that even speaker must agree this law and no committee must be formed and must give direct punishment than to allow them to go to their house.
After the incident CM DV Sadananda Gowda said that the private channels must not be allowed inside the assembly, but this is not right and the mot not stop media from entering the house, he said.
At present CM he having so many departments in his assets and he may not remember which he has hence he must distribute the departments soon after cabinet expansion.
He criticized Palemar’s statement by saying, as a district in charge minister how can he say that he do not know to use the mobile phones.
